The format of this disc is ISO9660, a generic cross platform format that allows equal access when using either the PC or Mac operating systems. All images have been professionally drum scanned at 300dpi CMYK high resolution.
CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) color format is used in the print world as the color standard. When using these four colors in various combinations every color can be recreated. In the computer world not every picture viewer can handle CMYK rather they prefer RGB (Red, Green, Blue) files. Again, when using these three colors in varying combinations every color can be recreated.
The files on this CD-ROM are all in the RGB format using the very standard .JPG compression. Picture viewing and web browsing programs that come shipped with every computer will be able to view the files on this CD-ROM.
